The Wood Planter Project, 2018.
The design includes two main components, the box and the plank. Understanding that plants grow, perhaps someday needing bigger pots, our design is motivated to accommodate the growth of plants. The planter is designed so that it does not have any designated or prescribed place or size for pots to sit into, and that the plank is movable side-to-side through the slats of the box, which is adjustable to the necessary space for pots and the liking of the user. The slatted, simplistic and minimalistic design scheme aims for maximum spacing, exposure to sunlight, but especially for versatility, such that it could function as other items in a house, like a mini shelf or stool.
