As a complement to this year's virtual Plants Illustrated exhibit, Inside the Artists' Studio is a three part series featuring the work of 6 botanical artists from the Northern California Society of Botanical Artists. Each session will feature two artists who will focus on their area of expertise, inviting the viewer into their studio for a 45-minute demonstration of their technique. Catherine Watters: Watercolor on Vellum Explore the luminous quality of painting on calfskin vellum. Catherine will demonstrate how to capture the glow of your subject using a dry brush technique on this smooth organic surface.
