Shahrzad, 2019. Video, 5:05 minutes.
Shahrzad is an examination of the power of storytelling, a tale of tales. It is an abstract exploration of the arbitrary and dehumanizing immigration process in which individuals must justify their own existence. The film draws parallels to the story of Shahrzad in 1001 Nights and delves into the idea of storytelling as a method of survival.
