When They Were Here is a documentary film project that aims to bring positive change by shining a light on the crisis of missing and murdered Indigenous women and girls throughout North America. By working closely with Native families the issue is examined and illustrated through Native voices with Indigenous forms of storytelling, oral history and remembrance.
