This is an informal list of opportunities offered in the Arts + Design units on campus and in similar fields off campus that is assembled each month. This list is not comprehensive, nor is it updated when a position is filled. If you are interested in an opportunity, verify that it is still available before applying.

 

di Rosa Center for Contemporary Art

Merola Opera Program

The Merola Opera Program would like to invite students to experience the exciting world of opera and classical music this summer with their free Merola Student ConneXion Program. Up to 50 Bay Area students (junior high through college) will be selected to receive free passes to attend Merola performances, observe vocal master classes, and participate in special events this June, July, and August in San Francisco. Mission Cultural Center for Latino Arts

  • The MCCLA is currently offering Grafica, Gallery, and Multimedia Internships. MCCLA is a multicultural, multidisciplinary arts organization committed to the collaborative artistic vision of Latino art forms. Learn more and apply here.

San Francisco Museum of Modern Art (SFMOMA)

  • SFMOMA's internship programs give students a unique opportunity to get a behind-the-scenes look at the day-to-day operations of one of the country's leading modern and contemporary art museums. SOMArts

  • SOMArts is currently seeking a Gallery Intern to help with its exhibition programming. The SOMArts Gallery Internship is designed to provide help with both the gallery administrative tasks and the installation of Main Gallery exhibitions, with instruction and supervision provided by Gallery Director Betsie Miller-Kusz. Summer BUILD Reading Mentor Jobs

Help youth keep reading over the summer, a time when many youth lose their literacy skills. Summer BUILD mentors work Berkeley summer programs and are paid $13.75/hour through Work Study or receive educational units. Priority deadline is April 25 & final deadline is April 30. Undergraduate Library Fellowship Opportunities

The Library is pleased to announce eight Library Undergraduate Fellowship opportunities for 2018-2019. These fellowships seek to promote peer-to-peer learning and mentorship opportunities in areas of digital scholarship and library research, including data peer advising, digital humanities (DH), geographic information systems (GIS), media, and the Makerspace.
