Love Pockets: Pitch Video, 2019. 2:15 minutes.
Love Pockets is a product pitch that aims to address how people are less and less showing gratitude to their loved ones. In a fast-paced world that continues to increase its dependence on technology, people rarely come back to pen and paper to write out heartfelt messages (even short ones). Snail mail has become more and more obsolete even though countless studies have shown the positive benefits that come with handwritten letters — happy chemical reactions that result in both the sender and recipient. The idea of Love Pockets was born to make it easier for people to show their loved ones care, but with a convenience that matches the quick nature of the current times.

Grace Lam is a sophomore at UC Berkeley studying Cognitive Science, with interests in UI/UX, graphic design, and Human Computer Interaction (HCI). She grew up loving to draw and create doodles in her spare time as a little kid but never thought that art could become something she could pursue in the future until being introduced to the design field in college. Since beginning college, she has actively pursued opportunities to grow her graphic design and art skills by taking classes, working on individual creative projects, and joining design related organizations.
