For years, Ronald Rael has perfected the use of robots and sustainable materials to 3D print stunning new kinds of buildings. With the new building methods, new forms of architecture become possible, and with that, new ways for humans to dwell in constantly changing environments. Rael will discuss how new tools can change our creativity and design methods, and how the new buildings that spring from these methods can in turn change how we live and who we are.

Ronald Rael is a professor of Architecture at UC Berkeley and a world-renowned artist and 3D print innovator. His iconic border wall project, created together with Virigina San Fratello, won the Design Museum Design of the Year Award in 2020.
