In this introductory course you’ll explore the basics of Adobe InDesign, the industry standard for publication and layout design. Through a series of creative projects such as designing a business card, a poster, and a magazine or book, you’ll learn how to navigate the InDesign workspace. We’ll also cover the rules of typography and the elements of graphic design. You’ll create a visual identity, translate a look-and-feel into working designs, and work through the best practices for print production. Note: You’ll be creating a short book or magazine as a final project and should be prepared to choose a topic, and provide images, graphics, and text related to that topic.
