Taught by Mimi Robinson with guest composer/instrumentalist Joyce Kouffman In this workshop you will have the opportunity to enhance your senses at the UC Botanical Garden at Berkeley. As we are looking and listening, we will explore different qualities of the garden through color and sound. Listen to a line of music, draw the bending gesture of a tree. We will walk in the garden to explore color and focused listening in the soundscape of the garden. Back in the workshop we will respond by creating drawings and paintings using color, line and texture with live improvised gentle music- all inspired by the garden.
