About Design Field Notes: Each informal talk in this pop-up series brings a design practitioner to a Jacobs Hall teaching studio to share ideas, projects, and practices. About this talk: Tiffany Tseng is an interaction designer who creates tools for people who make things. She is a Lead User Experience Designer at Autodesk, building software for everyone to design with electronics. Prior to Autodesk, she received her PhD from the MIT Media Lab, building online communities for sharing design process. As a mechanical engineer and product designer, she has designed children's products, interactive whiteboards, medical devices, and consumer electronics at companies such as IDEO and Fisher-Price. Her work has been recognized with the Disney Research Learning Challenge Innovation Award and NSF Graduate Research Fellowship and is used by schools, makerspaces, and design professionals around the world. She received an M.S. in mechanical engineering from Stanford and a B.S. in mechanical engineering from MIT.
