The Photogrammar Project is a web-based platform for organizing, searching and visualizing the 170,000 photographs from 1935 to 1945 created by the United States Farm Security Administration and Office of War Information (FSA-OWI). Its development, supported by the National Endowment for the Humanities and the American Council of Learned Societies, is a vivid example of contemporary image-based Digital Humanities. This lecture explores the additional meanings we can derive from being able to explore this long-beloved archive in this new way.
