Join the CMES for its MENA Lit Chat with author Laleh Khadivi on her novel A Good Country. A timely novel about the radicalization of a Muslim teen in California--about where identity truly lies, and how we find it. Her fiction and non-fiction have appeared in the LA Times, San Francisco Chronicle, VQR, and The Sun. She has worked as a documentary filmmaker since 2000 and her films have been screened in festivals and on various cable networks. She is the recipient of a 2016 National Endowment for the Arts Grant and a 2016 Pushcart Prize for her story Wanderlust. She holds an MFA from Mills College and lives in Northern California.
