Thirty years ago, a group of young, enthusiastic, and caring friends came together with a goal that was both simple and complex: to provide health care for all, particularly the poor in the developing world. This inspiring documentary charts the success of Partners in Health, an NGO which builds hospitals and delivers health care throughout the world as they work to bend the arc toward justice. Bending the Arc is part of the fourth annual San Francisco Jewish Film Festival Take Action Day: a full day dedicated to community action. SFJFF is proud to present the work of filmmakers who are creating social justice median and see their work as part of a larger mission to inspire personal and societal transformation. TAD films are inspired by the Jewish value of tikkun olam and propel us to repair the world with our actions. Each film is followed by a discussion of the issues and highlights the community organizations that are making a difference with their work.
