Locked In: A Clear Path to Quit Vaping, 2019. 1:50 minutes.
It is a universal truth that smoking is bad for our health. We all know someone who ends up binge smoking after many days of smoking cessation, or even people who use substitutes like patches, gums, or nasal sprays. The illusion that they’re making a sacrifice may lead to a craving for smoking and these substitutes keep the addiction alive.
To ease their transition from smoking to not smoking, people vape as a “healthier” alternative. However, research suggests that vaping is as addictive as drugs like cocaine and heroin. Because vapes come in various flavors, it is possible for users to consume more nicotine than they would from smoking. As they vape mindlessly, their addiction grows and the problem continues… So how might we help people find a clear path to quit vaping?
