Thu Aug 24, 2017 5:00 PM - 6:00 PM
Doe Library
The interdisciplinary Global Urban Humanities Initiative (GUH) studies global cities by bringing together scholars, artists and designers from the arts and humanities, architecture, landscape architecture, and city planning. Come celebrate the start of our fifth year, including the launch of our new certificate programs. It is a great chance to meet some of our GUH faculty and students. Learn about our exciting fall programs including an international traveling studio on U.S.-Mexico borderlands, an undergraduate studio on art and performance at a landfill, and a seminar on populism art and the city. We are also introducing our new Graduate and Undergraduate Certificates in Global Urban Humanities and our fall speaker series. The Open House will also feature a book fair with works authored or edited by GUH faculty. University Press Books will be on hand for book purchases. This event is open to the entire campus and public with RSVP. Light refreshments will be provided. For questions, please contact GUH Program Coordinator Tina Novero at tinanovero@berkeley.edu LOCATION: The Open House and Book Fair will be in the historic Morrison Library housed at Doe Library.
